Dear Jerry: Grateful Dead Tribute Concert

Left to right: Trixie (daughter, Jerry Garcia), Dr. Bob Hieronimus, Carolyn "Mountain Girl" Garcia (Jerry's widow), Sunshine (daughter, Ken Kesey), and Annabelle (daughter, Jerry Garcia).

2015 marks the Grateful Dead's 50th anniversary, and the band kicked off its series of farewell concerts with appearances at the May 14 Dear Jerry: Celebrating the Music of Jerry Garcia concert at Merriweather Post Pavilion. All four surviving bandmembers—Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart—performed. Dr. Bob was a special VIP guest of Jerry Garcia's widow, Carolyn "Mountain Girl" Garcia. He brought along books from his library and other gifts for Jerry's family and other performers.
