(10) This is the Reverse of America’s Great Seal. It is the result of the combined efforts of three committees, finally approved in 1782. It is the very first time the Eye in a Triangle was seen above an unfinished pyramid -- making this a uniquely AMERICAN symbol. The pyramid is the physical world, a temple. The eye in the triangle is the spiritual world, and it completes the temple. Freemasonry never used this symbol until decades after the RGS was accepted. The top motto means “He prospers our undertaking”. The bottom motto means “the New Order of the Ages” (meaning the Divinity is helping us establish a new Republic or representative government with no king.)
